Paris, France/parisF052Previous | Home | NextThe area which became the "old" School of Pharmacy (vacated in 1882; the new school was located at Faculté de Pharmacie on Avenue de l'Observatoire; see above) was known as the "Jardin des apothicaires." The Val du Grace was also known in 1739. The only recognizable streets in this particular Turgot segment were Rue de l'Arbalète (where the School of Pharmacy was located) and Rue de Mouffetard (upper left corner), a short segment of which still exists today. Also, a portion of Rue des Postes is today Rue Lhomond. The remaining area, where the preponderance of the sites in map 2f were located, was not developed yet in 1739, and the layout of streets is much different today. |
